The Washington Commanders just signed Terry McLaurin to a three-year, $70 million contract extension. This is McLaurin's first massive deal since he signed his rookie contract back in 2019, and it makes him one of the top-five highest-paid wide receivers in the league.

The star wide receiver is undoubtedly excited about the payday, and his Commanders teammate Antonio Gibson is right there with him. Gibson tweeted his hilarious sigh of relief shortly after the news broke Tuesday afternoon.

Based on Gibson's reaction, it seems like the Commanders have received numerous questions regarding McLaurin's long-term future in Washington.

Most expected him to get a big extension, the only question was when it would come to fruition. McLaurin led the Commanders' receivers last year with 77 receptions for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Gibson is in the middle of his four-year rookie, $4.9 million contract with the Commanders. While he isn't getting “#BigPaid” just yet, the rusher will likely get a similar promotion sooner than later.

He stepped up as the team's top rusher this past year after running back J.D. McKissic suffered a season-ending neck injury. Gibson recorded 258 rushing attempts for 1,037 yards and seven touchdowns.

McLaurin and Gibson have played alongside one another since the running back joined Washington in 2020. Now, they'll continue playing together for at least two more years.
