The Alabama Crimson Tide took the win in the 2021 Cotton Bowl. Bryce Young and company defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats 27-6 Friday evening. Along with the win, the Crimson Tide set a few records. For one, head coach Nick Saban increased his lead in the race for the most wins all-time against AP top-four teams. The legendary Alabama coach now has 27 wins in the category, while no other coach has more than 14.

Along with Saban, running back Brian Robinson Jr set a record of his own Friday night. The fifth-year senior star had 204 rushing yards in the Cotton Bowl win, which is the most by an Alabama player in a bowl game. ESPN Stats & Info tweeted the news Friday night.

The tweet also mentioned that Robinson's Cotton Bowl performance earned him a spot in the top three most rushing yards in a game in CFP history. He ran for 204 yards. Ezekiel Elliott, a former Crimson Tide running back himself, holds the top two spots. In 2014, the Dallas Cowboys star ran for 246 yards in one bowl game, and 230 yards in another.

Now, the record-setting team has all eyes on the Orange Bowl, which will determine who they face in the CFP championship. The Georgia Bulldogs and the Michigan Wolverines are battling it out for the second spot in the final game, and a chance to dethrone the reigning champions.
