It is no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are enduring their fair share of struggles on offense. It appears wide receiver Allen Hurns may have an idea of why of quarterback Dak Prescott has been unable to find his footing thus far in the 2018 NFL season.

There are a number of issues plaguing the Cowboys offense. However, according to Mike Leslie of WFAA, Hurns feels playcalling has been one of the biggest problems:

Allen Hurns told Josina Anderson that part of the problem with the passing game is the playcalling, including calling the playcall on Dak’s second INT on Sunday night “the worst playcall you can make against that coverage”. He also said the blocking, WRs, & Dak deserve blame too.

There is certainly plenty of truth to Hurns' comments. It has become evident that the Cowboys have not been able to find a rhythm on offense whatsoever. Prescott's latest performance is just the most recent example after he threw for just 208 yards and two interceptions versus the Houston Texans in Week 5.

Hurns may face some backlash from the coaching staff for his criticisms. However, he knew full well the gravity of what he was saying. The Cowboys wide receivers have taken plenty of flak for their lack of star power. As a result, they have had to defend their legitimacy as a receiving corps before the season even started. Unfortunately, their showing against the Texans did nothing to solidify their efforts.

Regardless of whose fault it is, it has become clear that things have started to reach a boiling point in Dallas. It could very well get much worse if the offense continues to struggle like they have.
