Perhaps that bold bet between the Dallas Cowboys' offense and defense has finally motivated Dak Prescott. After all, it could be the only sensible explanation for his crazy and historic passing display against the Washington Football Team in Week 16.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Prescott is the first player in NFL history to throw a touchdown pass to a running back, wide receiver, tight end and offensive lineman in a single regular-season game.

The Cowboys got off to a hot start, going for 42 points to Washington's seven to finish the first half:

As NFL Research pointed out, though, Dak Prescott is not the first player to do it in any game. Pro Football Hall of Famer and former St. Louis Rams star Kurt Wagner did it in the 1999 Divisional Round against the Minnesota Vikings:

The Cowboys ended the game 56-14, and by the looks of it, Dak Prescott is more than ready for playoff football.

Prescott has been widely criticized recently for his erratic play. If not for the Cowboys‘ defense, the team would have lost in more than just four games. After all, Dak himself had thrown just three touchdowns in their past three contests prior to Sunday's Week 16 meeting.

Against Washington, he finished with four touchdowns on 28-of-39 passing for 330 yards.

Prescott has certainly chosen the perfect time to wake up, and with the way he's playing, the rest of the NFL better be prepared.
