The Dallas Cowboys' season ended in absolutely bizarre fashion in their Wild Card Weekend matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Quarterback Dak Prescott is understandably upset – and so were the fans in attendance.

After the late-game shenanigans involving referees wiped out the game clock and ended the contest prematurely for the Cowboys, fans were visibly frustrated and started throwing bottles onto the field.

Dak Prescott was asked about the incident as players were getting hit while exiting the field. Initially, the Cowboys star expressed disappointment. But when he found out it was anger directed towards the refs, Prescott changed his tune entirely.

Via Jon Machota:

Dak Prescott was disappointed when told of fans throwing bottles at Cowboys players, but when he was told they were aiming at the refs, Dak responded: “Credit to them.”

The man isn't hiding his frustrations with what happened towards the end of the game. The Cowboys seemed to have one final chance at a Hail Mary throw when a delay resulting from a collision with umpire Ramon George on the final play ate up the final seconds on the clock. After a review, the game was called over.

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys end their season early. While the final play wasn't the lone reason that they lost, nor was it an assurance that they would've actually scored, it's certainly a sour way to go out.
