The Dallas Cowboys wanted a change in their offense after this past season, so they fired offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and replaced him with Kellen Moore, who had been the Cowboys quarterbacks coach.

Now, Moore is looking to bring some different things to the table, and a big part of his strategy is versatility.

“I think the beauty of our current roster is we have a lot of versatility,” Moore said earlier this offseason, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. “We have guys that can kind of line up in a lot of different places. Hopefully we can be multiple and present things in different ways, and at the end of the day still have our foundation and our philosophy. You can run similar plays, just out of a lot of different looks.”

The good news for Moore is that Dallas has lot of offensive talent.

With Dak Prescott under center, Ezekiel Elliott manning the ground game, and Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb, and now Jason Witten representing weapons in the passing game, Moore has a lot to work with.

It also helps that the Cowboys have a stout offensive line.

Of course, saying you want to do it and actually going out and doing are two different things, so it remains to be seen if Moore actually accomplishes what he hopes, but regardless, this has to be music to the ears of Dallas fans.

The Cowboys won 10 games and made it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs in 2018.
