While Mike McCarthy is now the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, he is most known for his lengthy tenure with the Green Bay Packers, where he went 125-77-2 from 2006 through most of 2018 and led the Packers to nine playoff appearances, six NFC North division titles and a Super Bowl championship.

During his time in Green Bay, McCarthy coached some special talents, ranging from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to some fine wide receivers, one of which was Randall Cobb.

Well, McCarthy will get to reunite with Cobb in Dallas, as the Cowboys signed him last offseason.

Cobb was present at McCarthy's introductory press conference on Wednesday, and McCarthy said it was great to see a “smiling Cobb” in attendance as he noted how important family and football is as a combination, per Patrik Walker of CBS Sports.

Cobb spent eight years with the Packers, making a Pro Bowl appearance in 2014 after hauling in 91 receptions for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The 29-year-old was a steady presence in Green Bay's aerial attack for the first five years of his tenure with the club, but in 2016, Cobb began to show obvious signs of decline, and during his final season with the Packers in 2018, injuries limited Cobb to just nine games, resulting in Green Bay parting ways with him after the year concluded.

He had a bit of a nice bounce-back season with the Cowboys this season, playing in 15 games and catching 55 passes for 828 yards and three scores, his most productive campaign since 2015.

Dallas went 8-8 in 2019.
