Dallas Cowboys stars Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott reportedly hosted a 30-person dinner party in Texas despite a statewide “stay at home” order during the coronavirus pandemic.

Apparently, officers in Prosper responded to an alleged noise complaint with respect to the party, though they were unable “verify” whether Prescott was indeed having a large gathering (via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk):

As noted by Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, an officer from the Prosper (Texas) Police Department arrived at Prescott’s home after receiving a complaint (an anonymous call, as one source explained it to PFT) of a party there.

“The officer was unable to verify the report of a party,” Prosper P.D. assistant chief Scott M. Brewer told Davisson. “Therefore, he just reminded the resident of the current CDC guidelines — to include social distancing.”

Florio noted Prescott's camp insists no more than 10 people were at his house on the night in question, though it might be hard to give Prescott the benefit of the doubt.

Prescott has repeatedly ignored the “stay at home” order in recent weeks, most notably in his workouts with former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant. This included a gym session at A+D1 Training in Dallas County, even though all gyms in the county were supposed to remain closed.

This is not the best look for the NFL or the Cowboys. There are already doubts as to whether the regular season will start on time, and it is hard to suggest the league is taking precautions when one of its star players seems to neglect the importance of social distancing.
