The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the Washington Redskins in a crucial divisional game on Thursday night that could have plenty of playoff implications depending on how things play out.

However, the Cowboys will have to do it without two key defensive contributors in linebackers Sean Lee and Justin Durant due to injury, while six other players are questionable to play.

This could once again put the Cowboys in another big hole defensively without their leader and best player on that side of the ball out of the lineup for the third straight week. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury that he suffered back on Nov. 12 in the loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Lee has shown to have a tremendous impact defensively when he's in the lineup and brings much stability to that side of the ball.

Meanwhile, Durant, who has served as his replacement over the last two weeks, is still in the concussion protocol after suffering the injury on Thanksgiving against the Los Angeles Chargers. It will now push rookie Jaylon Smith into starting at middle linebacker while Anthony Hitchens has shifted over to the weakside to make up for Lee's absence.

The lack of depth at the position could lead to the Redskins focusing on implementing a heavy dosage of the running game with Samaje Perine, who is coming off a second straight 100-yard rushing performance in their win over the New York Giants last week.

If the Cowboys are without any, or all, of the offensive linemen questionable on the injury list, including guard Zach Martin (concussion), tackle Tyron Smith (back/groin), and tackle La'el Collins (back), it could be a long night for them on both sides of the ball.
