CREED: Rise to Glory surpasses 1 million copies sold, VR gaming studio Survios reveals. The VR boxing game remains a top-ranking boxing title, selling copies across different platforms.

California-based Survios reveals the achievement last October 12, celebrating alongside Metro Goldwyn Mayer, the production company behind the CREED series of films. The movie adaptation game remains a popular game across different platforms, on Steam, PSVR, and Oculus Quest. To celebrate this milestone, Survios unveiled a new trailer that demonstrates its hardcore, adrenaline-rushing boxing features, which will also introduce a limited-time sale on Oculus Quest. The sale will have the game priced for only $17.99 until October 17.

On selling over 1 million calories, Survios CEO Seth Gerson claims that players have since thrown more than 500 million punches, burned more than 1 billion calories, and boxed in over 50 million rounds.

CREED: Rise to Glory also has a non-VR counterpart called Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions, available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

“Whether we're developing for VR, traditional consoles, physical installations with AR/VR overlays or a hybrid that combines the best of each, our mission is to design fully immersive, dynamic worlds that can be discovered in every reality where gamers exist,” says Gerson. “Developing for cross-reality is just the beginning. We're exploring every opportunity to captivate the broadest possible gaming audience while pushing the envelope to create the next generation of immersive technologies and interactive consumer experiences.”

While the Rocky and CREED movie franchises haven't had a new film since 2018, the boxing universe still remains popular today. The next film in the franchise, CREED III, is set to release on November 23, 20221.
