With a Dallas Cowboys Week 14 matchup on Sunday against the division rival Washington Football Team, the division could be on the line. The Cowboys have hit a bit of a lull in recent weeks, losing three of their last five games. Whereas, the Washington Football Team has won four straight games, including a victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A month ago, it appeared as though the NFC East was all but over. The Dallas Cowboys would cruise to a division title. A lot has changed in a month.

For more insight on the Cowboys' Week 14 matchup against Washington, listen below:

The Cowboys offense, which was leading the NFL in yards per game, has fallen flat. Dak Prescott has not looked like himself. Injuries and illness have hit skill position players hard, with Amari Cooper missing two games with COVID-19, CeeDee Lamb missed time with a concussion and Ezekiel Elliott still battling a knee issue.

Even in the win vs the New Orleans Saints last Thursday, Dallas' offense struggled outside of one big play from their back up running back, Tony Pollard.

The Cowboys can stop the bleeding by simply winning Sunday. If Dallas wins this game, they pull three games ahead of Washington and Philadelphia with four games left. Even if they win ugly, the division will be locked up and they will have a month to fix things before the playoffs start.

Needless to say, there is a lot riding on this game. Here are my Cowboys Week 14 bold predictions.

Cowboys Week 14 Predictions vs Washington

4. Ezekiel Elliott continues to struggle on the ground

Former All Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott has been hampered by a knee injury and has not rushed for 70 yards in a game since Week 6 vs the New York Giants. Luckily, Tony Pollard has been showing his explosiveness and chipping on the ground.

However, it was announced earlier Thursday that Pollard tore his plantar fascia vs the Saints and will be a game-time decision this week.

On Wednesday, Elliott admitted that he will not be 100% for another three to four weeks, but that he feels good but went on to say “You're going to have to drag me off of the field.” That sounds like someone who is not close to full strength.

The Washington Football Team is 3rd in the NFL, allowing only 91.3 yards per game on the ground. This is not a get-right matchup for the Cowboys running game and with both Elliott and Pollard banged up, Dallas might have to move the ball through the air.

3. Micah Parsons will get another sack, Trevon Diggs will get another interception

Rookie strong side linebacker Micah Parsons has vaulted himself not only into the Defensive Rookie of the Year conversation, but Defensive Player of the Year as well. Admittedly, he has almost no chance of winning DPOY, but the rookie award is his to lose at this point.

FOX Sports' Bucky Brooks broke down exactly what he brings to the table, calling him his number one rising star in the NFL.

Parsons is tied for 8th in the NFL in sacks this season. But it's not only the plays he is making, it is when he makes the plays. He seems to have a knack for coming up big in crucial moments.

Trevon Diggs firmly cemented himself in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation weeks ago. But a lot of his success has come from the Cowboys pressuring the quarterback. Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke has been sacked 24 times and is among the league leaders with 11 interceptions.

He doesn't have a lot of weapons on the outside to go to. He lost his starting tight end Logan Thomas to a torn ACL last week. There's a good chance he throws a couple up for grabs. I'll take Diggs to win that battle one of those times.

2. Amari Cooper will have a breakout game

Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper looks to be close to full strength this week. He missed two weeks after contracting COVID-19. He returned in Week 13 vs the Saints, but had two catches for 41 yards. All 41 yards came on his first catch with his other catch being in the flat for no yards. He also logged a season-low 34% of offensive snaps.

With Dallas' run game struggling, they will need the passing game to come to life. Michael Gallup played well while the other Cowboys receivers missed time. Now, Gallup should be back to being a tough matchup against nickel corners and Cooper getting one-on-one on the outside. CeeDee Lamb is the team's premier receiver now. So he will receive most of the attention from the secondary.

That should open things up for Cooper up the seams. Dak Prescott is better when he incorporates Cooper. Look for that to happen Sunday.

1. Cowboys win by double digits, climb back into NFC Supremacy talk

The Washington Football Team has been playing very well lately. No doubt about it. But there are some factors that might not hold up this week.

Washington running back J.D. McKissic is still in the concussion protocol. When Heinicke is under duress, his first, second and third look has been McKissic. If he does not play, that's a huge blow to this offense this week.

Also, hidden during Washington's winning streak is who they have beaten the last three weeks. They defeated the Panthers, Seahawks and Raiders. The last two games, they won by the exact score of 17-15. 17 points is not going to cut it Sunday.

Dallas is getting healthier as Washington is getting more banged up. The Cowboys might have Micah Parsons, Demarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory on the field at the same time for the first time this season. That would be scary for Washington, and any offense they play going forward.

Washington's defense will keep them in the game for a half, but their offense will not be able to move the ball and Dallas will eventually break the flood open and pull away in the 2nd half.
