The demand for Derrick Rose has not been as high as some of the bigger names in this year's free agency. Still, the former MVP has his fair share of suitors, with the L.A. Clippers scheduled to have a sit-down with Rose next.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski has it that Rose will meet with the Clippers today.

With Chris Paul no longer around, Rose appears to be a good fit in Los Angeles. For one, the 28-year-old point guard will look to continue his streak of playing in big market cities following his sojourn in New York and his long-time stint in his hometown of Chicago.

Rose would also have some very formidable running mates; Blake Griffin just re-signed with the Clippers to a long-term deal and Danilo Gallinari is on his way to L.A. after the team traded Jamal Crawford for him.

On the other hand, Los Angeles also got Patrick Beverley from the Houston Rockets as part of the CP3 deal. This means that Rose would have to either earn his job as the Clips' starting point guard or be fine with the possibility of being a mere backup.

After four knee surgeries and failing to average 20 points per game since the 2011-12 season, perhaps it's about time for D-Rose to bypass his desires of becoming a team's main attraction and accept a slight D-motion to the bench.
