The free fall of the Miami Dolphins continued in Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season, with Brian Flores' team suffering a 26-11 road loss to the Buffalo Bills. While not a lot expected the Dolphins to come away with a win in that matchup against a vastly superior team, the loss still added to the worst of a Miami team that is terribly failing in building on their promising 2020 NFL campaign.

Any head coach of a team that has absorbed seven losses through eight weeks of the season should be feeling his seat getting hot, but for Flores, that's not something he is even worried about, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.

“I'm just worried about the players,” Flores said. “I'm worried about getting them better, helping them improve. So no [I'm not worried about job security].”

Flores looked as though he was nurturing a future Super Bowl contender last season when he had the Dolphins finishing the regular season with a 10-6 record. But a 1-7 start has completely betrayed expectations.

The Dolphins are having problems getting it together on both sides of the field. Tua Tagovailoa's health and inconsistency have slowed the team down together with a defense that's been up and down as well.

For at least the first two quarters of the Bills game though, the Dolphins appeared like a contender, holding Josh Allen's unit to only three points by halftime before the wheels fell off for Miami in the second half.
