Veteran cornerback Jason McCourty is heading to the Miami Dolphins. McCourty will have a reunion with head coach Brian Flores after they spent time together with the New England Patriots. The Miami defense just keeps getting better and they will be a fun team to watch this season.

After just missing the playoffs this past season with a record of 10-6 the Dolphins improved their roster even more. They had a great free agency and draft which is setting them up for a successful season. The additions of wide receiver Will Fuller, cornerback Justin Coleman, and now cornerback Jason McCourty improved the teams weakest positions.

In the draft the Dolphins gave quarterback Tua Tagovailoa another weapon by selecting wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Waddle will instantly have chemistry with Tua as they played together at Alabama in college. With their second first round pick they took edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. He is perhaps the most talented edge rusher in the class but health concerns made him fall down the board. Miami went on to draft safety Jevon Holland and tackle Liam Eichenberg in the second. They should both be day one impact players for Miami.

Although it may not seem like it, Miami now has one of the most talented teams in the league. With back to back great drafts and a solid free agency, the Dolphins are ready to compete with any team that stands in there way.

Look for the Dolphins to take a jump this season and have a deep playoff run.
