Recently, the Dallas Cowboys cut Allen Hurns after just one season with the team. Hurns has already received interest from teams—including the Miami Dolphins.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Hurns is visiting Miami today. The Cowboys are also open to bringing Hurns back after releasing him earlier this week.

The Dolphins are in need of some wide receiver depth with Kenny Stills, Devante Parker, and Albert Wilson leading the receiving corps. Although, Hurns is coming off of brutal leg injury he suffered in last year's NFC Wild Card game.

Hurns suffered a dislocated ankle against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card game and has been rehabbing this offseason.

Dallas decided to cut Hurns after signing him to a two-year, $12 million before the 2018 season. Before going to Dallas, Hurns showed his potential as a talented receiver with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Last season, Hurns had just 20 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns. Hurns never seemed to get comfortable in the Cowboys offense with Dak Prescott.

Despite the ankle injury last year, Hurns can still produce for an offense in need of receivers. It just so happens that the Dolphins are in need of receivers.

Last season, the Dolphins struggled to throw the ball, ranking 30th in passing offense in 2018. Earlier this offseason, the Dolphins signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and traded for Josh Rosen at quarterback.

Therefore, Miami is going to need all of the weapons they can get to help whoever ends up being under center. Hurns could be returning to Florida after visiting with the Dolphins today.
