Chinese DOTA 2 powerhouse Vici Gaming recently announced on Twitter the departure of their core player, Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun, who made the decision to join their other Chinese rival and new entrant in the DOTA 2 scene, Elephant. The organization have expressed their gratitude to Eurus who was a cornerstone for the team's third place finish in the 2018-2019 DOTA Pro Circuit scene.

There were speculations from the past regarding his arrival to the club with Lu “Somnus丶M” Yao announcing last October, that Eurus has already been signed. However there were issues with regards to his transfer fees. Even with these lingering issues, Vici Gaming allowed Eurus to play for his new club.

It was only on November 16, when the transfer was officially completed.

Eurus will be joining his fellow Vici Gaming teammate, Zhou “Yang” Haiyang, former rivals, Somnus丶M and Xu “fy” Linsen, and up-and-coming DOTA 2 player Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao.

Eurus has been considered to be one of the best carry players not only in the Chinese region but in the entire DOTA 2 scene. He once established his legacy using, “Paparazi灬,” as his IGN. During his tenure with Vici Gaming, he brought the team four major trophies. Not only is he accomplished as a team player as his individual skills have likewise caught the attention of the DOTA community after winning two DAC Solo Tournaments in 2017 and 2018, defeating midlane maestros Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, and Song “Sccc” Chun. A few months ago, Eurus was able to attain a milestone in his overall ranking as he reached the 10,000 MMR mark
