Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has had his fair share of injuries this season and unfortunately, this week is no different.

According to a report from John Boyle, a reporter for the Seahawks, Baldwin might end up missing this week's game due to a groin injury.

Baldwin is nursing a tricky injury that could be re-aggravated at any point, much like a hamstring injury. The Seahawks are already the league's leaders in rushing yards this season with the help of Russell Wilson's mobility and the lack of a playmaker in the passing game this season.

The Seahawks will miss Baldwin if he, in fact, cannot play since the Panthers have not lost a game at home this season. After a tough loss last week to the Detroit Lions, the Panthers will likely come out angry in this one. The Panthers have a strong and surging offense with the return of Greg Olsen and the emergence of rookie D.J. Moore. With Cam Newton under center for the Panthers, anything is possible.

The Seahawks are merely fighting for second in the NFC West with the Rams looking like Super Bowl hopefuls. Seattle sits at 5-5 on the season, but even though they are second place in their division, their playoff hopes are not quite as promising in comparison to other NFC teams fighting for a spot as well.

If Seattle hopes to make the most out of the remainder of their season, they will need their best receiver on the field. Baldwin has put on great performances in the two previous seasons before this season, so he'll look to get back out there as soon as possible,
