Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green has been suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals for a shot he took at LeBron James’ man-parts in Game 4. The poor decision resulted in the NBA upgrading the foul to a flagrant, pushing Green over the limit for flagrant fouls in the playoffs.

While the move was definitely a selfish one as his team plays for its second NBA Championship in a row, it’s hard to deny Green’s massive impact on the team’s success over the course of the season.

With the Warriors’ Game 4 win over the Cavaliers on Friday night, Draymond Green set a new record for most wins one player has been a part of in one season. Heading into Game 4, Green was tied for the record after being a part of all 87 wins for the Warriors this season. After their win, Green stands alone at 88. This bests both Michael Jordan and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr’s previous record of 87.

The Warriors now lead the Finals series 3-1 heading back to Oakland. While Green may not be able to play in the game, if the Warriors win the series on Monday night, he will be allowed to participate in the postgame celebration.

Game 5 will take place at Oracle Arena on Monday night. The game begins at 9pm (EST). The game is a must-win for LeBron James and the Cavs in an arena where the Warriors only lost two games all season. But that was all with Draymond.
