The heated altercation that took place in the Staples Center after the Warriors suffered a 121-116 overtime loss to the L.A. Clippers brought a lot of uneasiness around the locker room, and with good reason. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, expletives and veiled shots were aplenty, as Draymond Green intended to flip the tables on Kevin Durant, questioning his decision to remain noncommittal about his looming free agency.

Things had already started to get out of hand when Green went off the plank and changed the subject, defaulting to name-calling his All-Star teammate.

“You’re a b*tch and you know you’re a b*tch,” shouted Green, as the argument escalated in volume.

While the exact phrase wasn't captured by the source, Green is believe to have said “We don’t need you. We won without you. Leave,” according to Haynes' sources.

Green turned out a hapless outing in his return to the lineup against the Houston Rockets, going scoreless through 24 minutes of action and tallying five rebounds, five assists and five turnovers.

“If those emotions are what caused us to lose [Thursday night], then my bad,” said Green. “But we’re not panicking… We’re still the best team in the league and we’re going to win a bunch of games and go win another championship and we’ll be fine.”

Green and Durant have reportedly made amends, and even seemed to be playing like their old selves during the first quarter, but all reports signal that Green's words were definitely meant to sting deep, and only Durant knows if these were words sharp enough to cut ties with the Warriors come next summer.
