It didn't take long for Dwyane Wade to give his hometown of Chicago something to cheer for, as he hit his first points as a member of the Bulls in true D-Wade fashion with a mid-range jumper with less than 20 seconds into their season opener against the Boston Celtics.
Wade went around a Taj Gibson rolling screen, found his sweet spot just beyond the free-throw area and buried a smooth jumper to put his team up. Take a look.
Wade also received a warm reception and a huge ovation from fans after taking a knee while looking down at the hardwood as he was introduced by the public address announcer. Check it out.

Despite the wear and tear in his legs, Dwyane Wade is bound to play a pivotal role on this team as a guard who can do just about anything on the floor. He led the team with 14 points by halftime.
