NBA Top Shot is taking over the world. This newest digital collectible platform has gotten hundreds of thousands of users hooked on NBA ‘Moments' that are redefining the NFT universe. In the past thirty days, Top Shot has recorded over $240 million including a record-setting LeBron James highlight selling for $208,000. These numbers simply tell us that NBA Top Shot is indeed heading towards the moon.

If you've dabbled in the Top Shot universe for the past few weeks, you know that one of the craziest things about the platform is its ultra elusive pack drops. Just last week, over 180,000 users were in line for hours for a chance to get one of 10,000 rare packs worth $99. That's a 5% chance if my math skills are still functioning. This process has been painful, but for the lucky ones whose prayers were answered by the blockchain gods (like I), every minute in the waiting room was well worth it.

On Wednesday, the NBA announced its roster for this year's Rising Stars Challenge that comes with a very interesting twist. Because schedule limitations will ultimately prevent an actual game to be played, Top Shot announced that a Rising Stars Pack will be released in honor of these young studs. The line-up for both Team USA and Team World is insane and the fact that players like LaMelo Ball, Zion Williamson, and RJ Barrett will get their Rising Stars Moments will surely result in another crazy, sweat-inducing drop.

Fret not! We at ClutchPoints will try to break down everything you need to know about these pack drops to make sure you're all set for the upcoming March 7 Rising Stars Pack drop.

First and foremost, I am assuming that you've already made an NBA Top Shot account if you're reading this. If not, WYD?? Open a new tab now and sign up ASAP. Thank me later.

Second, make sure you block off that date. The Rising Stars Pack drops on March 7, 2021 – barring any hitch, obviously. The time has yet to be announced so don't play it cool and set a Zoom hang out with your friends on Sunday afternoon. Eyes on the prize here. The schedule for these drops has been erratic so you wouldn't want another task messing up your chances to grab one of these packs.

Next, keep yourself up to date. You can sign-up for Top Shot's official email alerts or you can also log on to Top Shot's official Discord where all the announcements are made. Just try to stay away from all the funny business going on in the different channels. If Discord is too much for you, you can simply follow the right accounts on social media. There's a handful of solid resources out there on Twitter, YouTube, and even Instagram where you can get updated on these latest drops and other Top Shot-related news.

Here are a few I personally try and stay glued on:

Twitter: NBA Top Shot (official), TheFirstMint
YouTube: Club Top Shot (Pete Overzet), Top Shot Hot Boys (NoDunks Inc.)

Instagram: NBA Top Shot (official), Minted Moments, NBA Top Shottaz, NBA Top Shot NewsNBA Top Shot Memes (for some fun content)

Also, s/o to my homies at NBA Top Shot Philippines.

Now that your account is ready, you've followed the right people on Twitter and Instagram, and have wasted countless hours listening to podcasts then you're probably all set. Last but not least though, make sure you have enough to purchase these packs. You can either load your Dapper wallet or simply have a credit card ready. Don't underestimate this last tip. I've heard stories of users being lucky enough to be in the queue but for some reason weren't able to actually purchase the pack due to insufficient balance or a faulty credit card.

That's it. You should be ready to go. See you all in the waiting room!
