Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley caught his 10th touchdown pass of the season in his team's season-ending win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon, setting a Falcons rookie record for the most touchdown catches in a single season:

Ridley hauled in five passes for 32 yards and a score against the Buccaneers and ended the season with 64 receptions for 821 yards while reaching the end zone 10 times.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was selected by Atlanta in the first round (26th pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He played three years at Alabama, registering 63 catches for 967 yards and five touchdowns during his junior campaign. His best season, however, actually came during his freshman year, when he snared 89 balls for 1,045 yards and seven scores.

Ridley is part of a pretty lethal trio of Falcons receivers, joining Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu in providing a pretty impressive group of talent for quarterback Matt Ryan to target in the passing game.

Still, in spite of Ridley's success during his rookie campaign, Atlanta was a mediocre team at best this season, finishing out the year with a record of 7-9.

The Falcons did not really look all that competitive at any point this season, getting off to a 1-4 start and never really recovering.

This marks the first time Atlanta has missed the playoffs since 2015. Last year, the Falcons won 10 games and lost in the Divisional Round, and two years ago, Atlanta famously blew a 28-3 lead in a Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots.
