Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has two years left on his deal and is looking for a new contract, but the star says that there isn't any rush to get an extension done.

“I don't know. My agent [Jimmy Sexton] is in the process of them talking about it,” Jones said when asked about the status of contract talks, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com. “It hasn't came to me. I'm good. I'm comfortable with how everybody's doing it. There's no pressure on my end and none on their end. If they're going to get it done, we'll get it done.”

Jones is currently averaging $14.25 million annually on his current deal with the Falcons, which ranks 11th among all wide outs in the NFL. However, Jones does not care about becoming the league's highest-paid receiver:

“Me, personally, I don't really care about as far as being the highest-paid receiver, man,” Jones said. “It's a number. We've got some other guys on the team. If we can do it in a way to get all the other guys to stay on the team … it's a lot of ways you can do money.”

The 30-year-old also seems likely to miss voluntary workouts this offseason, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with his contract:

“I'm just working on me right now,” Jones said. “I've got a great relationship with the organization. I'm just working on me. That's it. It's no set time where I need to be in-house. Mandatory stuff, I'll be there. As long as I'm training, they understand it.”

Jones hauled in 113 receptions for 1,677 yards and eight touchdowns this past season en route to fifth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance.
