Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson is actually one of the more intriguing players in the NFL and possibly in Fantasy Football as well.

You wouldn't think of Robinson when you are thinking of all of the top wide outs in the league, but there was a time when Robinson was in that mix, as he hauled in 80 receptions for 1,400 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns back in 2015 while with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Of course, Robinson has never come close to touching that production ever again, both due to injuries and the simple fact that he has not been able to regain that form.

So, was that 2015 campaign a fluke, or has Robinson just had some hard luck ever since? And most of all, is Allen capable of being a consistent starter in Fantasy Football?

Well, in 2017, Robinson tore his ACL after just one game, and this past season, his first year with the Bears, Robinson missed three contests due to rib and hip issues. When he was on the field, he was productive, catching 55 passes for 754 yards and four scores, but that is still obviously not even close to his monster 2015 season.

We have to look back to Robinson's last healthy year in 2016, when he snared 73 balls for 883 yards and six touchdowns, a season that was nothing short of incredibly disappointing, especially when there was talk about Robinson elevating his game and becoming one of the top receivers in football at that time.

There were no injuries, either. Robinson just did not perform well.

Now, to be fair to Robinson, he never really had a stable quarterback situation in Jacksonville, and during his first season in Chicago, Mitchell Trubisky was still learning the ropes.

Now that Trubisky is entering his third season and Robinson has a full year with him under his belt, it's entirely possible that Robinson could be in for a big year in 2019.

Obviously, there are no guarantees when it comes to Robinson. We don't even know if he'll play 10 games; let alone whether or not he will be able to finish with over 1,000 yards.

But there is reason to believe that the 25-year-old could have an impressive season in what is an improving Bears offense and can represent a really good No. 2 receiver in Fantasy this year.

Does that mean you should cast aside all of the other No. 2 wide outs in the league and zero in on Robinson? No. Again, there is too much volatility here to do that, but it does mean that you should be willing to take the risk on Robinson and that if he is available in something like Round 7 or 8, you should not hesitate to grab him.

Taking Robinson at that draft position could pay major dividends, as we know he is capable of at least being a solid No. 2 guy when he is right, and he has also briefly shown that he can even be a No. 1. I wouldn't bank on the latter, but it's completely not out of the realm of possibility.

Chances are, Robinson will be a very sturdy No. 2 Fantasy Football guy in 2019 so long as he stays healthy, and as long as you don't have any other injury-prone receivers on your roster, you should be safe rolling with him.
