The Utah Jazz will be without point guard George Hill for tonight's Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors due to soreness in left big toe, according to the team.

Hill was rather ineffective to start the series, tallying a mere seven points on 3-of-9 shooting through his 28-minute stint on the court, marking his lowest scoring total since March 1, when he scored two points against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Jazz will be forced to go with either Shelvin Mack for speed or Dante Exum for length at the point guard position — though no decision has been made yet.

The starting core remains confident that they will be able to push through without Hill, as they'll avoid going into an 0-2 hole to start the series at all costs.

“We've got guys that can step in,” forward Joe Ingles told reporters this morning.

“It's definitely gonna be more difficult in the playoffs against a great team, but gotta just step up,” star forward Gordon Haywardsaid of the potential replacements. “The experiences they've got through the season is gonna help them out.”

“It's very frustrating that (Hill) can't play tonight, but at the same time, it is what it is and we gotta try to move on and step up.”

The Warriors doubled up the Jazz's backcourt production in Game 1, meaning whoever steps in for Hill will have to shoulder a bit of a scoring load to make it through the game and even the series before going back to Salt Lake City.
