The New York Giants are hoping to turn things around after a stellar offseason. With a new coaching staff, front office, and plenty of exciting prospects on the roster, New York is in a great spot to improve. Even so, this franchise is still a bit away from becoming a true contender and could be in the market to make some big moves. For that reason, we look at three potential trade candidates on the Giants roster entering training camp.

To start, it's hard to imagine any big trades coming to fruition at this point in the offseason but it's fun to speculate, right? New York is in a position where the front office may prefer clearing cap space for the future. If that's the case, then the Giants could be in the market to make some surprising moves before the start of the regular season.

As of now, New York has a plethora of tight ends on the roster and they may opt to trade one of them during training camp. Additionally, after an up and down 2021 campaign, the Giants could be in the market to trade one of their wide receivers. Especially with Wan'Dale Robinson making waves. Lastly, now could be the perfect time for the front office to move on from a questionable cornerback for future draft picks.

With that said, here are three potential trade candidates on the Giants roster entering training camp.

Giants Training Camp Trade Candidates

3. Jordan Akins

There could be room for Jordan Akins to make the roster, but New York has plenty of talent in that department. Between Daniel Bellinger, Ricky Seals-Jones, and multiple other rookies, the Giants have what they need at tight end. Trading Akins away would be a smart move, as the roster wouldn't lose out much on talent while reeling in an extra future draft pick.

We'll see how it plays out though. Bellinger is currently on the PUP list but luckily the injury doesn't seem to be serious. It's hard to imagine Akins receiving a ton of playing time but brings solid depth to the Giants roster as well. Even so, a tight end needy franchise may come calling and New York should highly consider making that deal if that's the case.

2. Kenny Golladay

The front office gave Kenny Golladay a massive contract last year and it hasn't quite paid off yet. The veteran wide receiver has struggled with injuries the last two years but finally enters training camp healthy. Regardless, the Giants have a chance to unload his contract and acquire more draft picks to strengthen the team down the road.

Keeping Golladay also makes sense, as the veteran receiver could play a major role in the offense in 2022. The Giants are likely banking on that to happen after paying Golladay a big contract. Either way, New York is going to evaluate their star receiver closely. If he puts up another dud year, then this franchise may have to move on sooner than expected.

1. Adoree' Jackson

After struggling with the Tennessee Titans, the Giants signed Adoree' Jackson as a free agent. He didn't make that much of an impact last season, as New York was dreadful in pass coverage. Considering his current contract, the front office might be looking to ship him away to improve their chances of constructing a playoff contender next offseason.

Similar to Golladay, the Giants are more likely to see how Jackson plays in the 2022 season. There is a chance he has a major bounce-back year, but he must prove he's capable of being a starting cornerback in the NFL. Keep an eye on Adoree Jackson, as his performance through training camp will be closely monitored by the coaching staff.
