Through his first four years in the league, New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has established himself as one of the top players at his position.

Beckham Jr. has continued to rack up godly type numbers this season that have further pushed him into that conversation, but former Giants great Amani Toomer has voiced that he believes the 25-year-old should be taking his game to yet another level, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Daily News.

“I want him to break all my records and that stuff,’’ Toomer told the Post. “I just feel like he has a great opportunity and I don’t know if he’s realizing it. His full potential. We know he’s good and we know he’s doing well, and I think he just should be better. That’s just what I see. As good as he is, as great as he is, he can be better.’’

Toomer's comments came in from him wanting to see Beckham Jr. take that next step in his development. In the sense of becoming a more refined route runner than he already is, that could further help his quarterback out in tough situations on throws that may be in tight coverage or work toward helping prevent negative plays when things are off the mark.

Beckham Jr. has proven that he can be a game-changing talent in the passing game throughout his career and has shown that so far this season, as he has 77 catches for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns, along with a pair of touchdowns that currently has him on pace for 103 receptions, 1,402 yards, and eight touchdowns. This includes notching five games with more than 100 receiving yards.

What Toomer's message is directed beyond the numbers is that there are other areas where Beckham Jr. can help his team while becoming a more well-round player on the field. The sky is the limit for the star wideout and the former Giants great is hoping he can see that.
