Earlier this week, New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo made the decision to bench quarterback Eli Manning for the first time in more than 13 years.

It is a move that has received plenty of reaction around the league for the manner in which it was handled. In hindsight, McAdoo voiced on Friday that he had no regrets in how everything went down, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

“I was upfront and honest with Eli,” McAdoo said Friday. “I don't have any regrets there.”

McAdoo had also stated that he had no concern about it impacting his relationship with ownership despite both sides not talking recently. Although there is no uneasiness at the moment with his standing within the organization, things could certainly pick up over once the 2017 season ends.

There has been much negative feedback surrounding the move from former and current players such as former Giants great Michael Strahan and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. Throughout the process, Manning has handled it with professionalism while still airing that he didn't agree with the decision to bench him in favor of backup Geno Smith.

This could all indubitably be the first marker of much change to come for the organization over the next few months in hopes of shaking things up ahead of the 2018 campaign.
