The New York Giants hold the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and Dave Gettleman is shooting for the stars in regards to who they select. Just a couple of days before the draft, Gettleman is placing Hall of Fame expectations on New York's first-round pick.

“Not only do you have to ask yourself if you picture this guy in a gold jacket,” Gettleman said Monday night to season-ticket holders during the Giants NFL draft preview show. “You also have to ask, ‘Is this guy I’m thinking of taking at four worthy of being the fourth pick of ANY draft?’”

In the months leading up to the draft, it's been assumed that Joe Burrow is going No. 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals and Chase Young is going No. 2 to the Washington Redskins.

But just two picks after the Redskins, it's been hard to pinpoint what Gettleman plans on doing with the No. 4 selection. Could he target Isaiah Simmons and give the Giants a versatile defender? Or could he have his sights on one of the coveted offensive tackles?

On the other hand, the Giants GM has also shown a willingness to deal the No. 4 pick for the right price. Seeing Gettleman's comments though, he wants to hit a home-run with New York's first-round pick.

To the dismay of fans, the Giants surprisingly selected Daniel Jones with the No. 6 pick in last year's draft. This time around, Gettleman wants to make sure that New York makes the No. 4 pick worth their while. Whether that actually takes place won't be known until Thursday's draft.
