Last summer, the New York Giants signed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a five-year, $95 million contract extension. However, six months after agreeing to the deal, there are rumors that the Giants are already looking to trade the star.

In spite of the speculation, Giants general manager Dave Gettlemen has remained firm in his stance that New York is not going to trade Beckham, once again saying that the Giants “didn't sign Odell to trade him,” according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Beckham is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he missed the final four games due to a quad injury. In the 12 games in which he did play, he hauled in 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by New York in the first round (12th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He appeared in 12 contests during his rookie campaign and took the league by storm, catching 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The following year, Beckham was even more productive, snaring 96 balls for 1,450 yards while reaching the end zone 13 times, making yet another trip to Honolulu.

Then, in 2016, Beckham played his first full 16-game season, finishing with 101 catches, 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Since then, however, it has been a bit of a struggle for Beckham, who has widely been considered a locker room distraction over the last two seasons and has only played in 16 games combined in 2017 and 2018 due to injury issues.
