The New York Giants recently shut down quarterback Daniel Jones for the remainder of the season. Amid speculation about the Giants' plans for the quarterback position, head coach Joe Judge dropped a truth bomb on Daniel Jones' Giants future.

“He worked really hard in the offseason, made a lot of gains. Saw a lot of progress throughout different parts of the season with him. You want to get Daniel on the field. It’s a quarterback-driven league and obviously Daniel’s our quarterback,” Judge told reporters.

“I’ve seen enough growth from Daniel to tell us that he’s a guy we want to go ahead and play with. In terms of the business aspect of it and different things, I’ll let different departments of this organization handle that stuff.”

Joe Judge made sure to note all the hard work put in by Giants quarterback Daniel Jones in the offseason. Judge also noted progress made by Jones during the season, acknowledging without saying that New York lost some valuable evaluation time with the neck injury. The Giants quarterback did seem to cut down on the turnovers that had plagued him during his first two years.

Judge's next statement is a brutally honest take with no fluff. He believes that Jones is the guy for the Giants. It's interesting that Judge brings up the business aspect of it.

Think about it this way. General manager Dave Gettleman probably won't be in New York next year but it sure sounds like Judge will be. So, he is the only one that fans and media can really take seriously when it comes to statements on the future of Jones.

By publicly standing behind Daniel Jones, Joe Judge is making his opinions on the future of the franchise loud and clear. Whether the Giants actually listen remains to be seen.
