The New York Giants has hired former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to be their new head coach. Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, who was in consideration for the open position, took exception to the process behind the decision and recently filed a lawsuit accusing the Giants and other teams of racial discrimination.

The Giants fired back at Flores' lawsuit in a statement on Tuesday. They responded by saying that they are “pleased and confident” with the process that led to the hiring of Daboll.

The Giants went on to say that of the “impressive and diverse” group of candidates, Flores was seriously considered until the very end of the process, with the former Dolphins leader ultimately falling just short of Daboll.

Flores, however, would say otherwise, as he is accusing the Giants of interviewing him after they had already tabbed Daboll to be their new head coach, with his former colleague, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick's text messages as evidence.

The Giants aren't the only team accused in Flores' lawsuit, as he also named the Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

It's clear that the Giants are firmly standing by their decision to hire Brian Daboll over Brian Flores. Only time will tell how this lawsuit plays out.
