New York Giants fans spent much of “Black Monday” voicing their frustration over the fact that head coach Joe Judge still remained with the franchise after a brutal 2021 campaign. Well, their wishes came true on Tuesday when it was reported that the Giants would be parting ways with Judge after two disappointing seasons. Per Ian Rapoport, Giants' ownership decided Tuesday after meetings with Judge over the past two days that he would no longer be part of the team's future.

Rapoport reports that it will be a full house cleaning in New York, as the organization looks to rebuild the coaching staff from top to bottom. This will surely be music to the ears of Giants fans who have been longing for changes in the coaching department since the start of Judge's tenure. It was beginning to look as if Judge would be back for another go-around in 2022, with reports suggesting the 40-year-old went as far as to tell the team on Monday that he would be back next year.

Across two seasons with the Giants, Judge amassed a disappointing 10-23 record across 33 games. After a 6-10 finish in 2020, the Giants took a step backward in 2021 and ended the year at 4-13, in last place in the NFC East.

With Judge officially out in New York, the Giants will join the handful of other NFL teams who are actively seeking a new head coach. The interview process should begin quickly for GM John Mara and Co. as they look to quickly navigate this coaching turnover and find a suitable replacement for Judge.
