Quarterback or no quarterback? This is the all-important question in East Rutherford, New Jersey right now (for both teams, actually). As it pertains to the big brothers, Eli Manning's squad, it's still crucial with Dave Gettleman and company picking in the two-hole.

It appears as though one particular QB has caught the eye of the organization.

Per Matt Miller of Bleacher Report and the number of NFL scouts he's spoken to, should the Cleveland Browns select Josh Allen with the No. 1 overall pick, the Jints won't hesitate in taking USC's Sam Darnold.

Asked a handful of NFL scouts and execs who the #Giants draft if Josh Allen goes first overall.

Every one replied Sam Darnold.

Recent chatter had the Giants liking the USC product. Other chatter also had Gettleman passing up on all quarterbacks to allow Eli Manning free time without looking over his shoulder while simultaneously strengthening either the offensive line or edge spot. But if there's one thing we know about Gettleman, it's that he's extremely elusive.

Nobody knows what the Giants are going to do.

The particular scouts Miller spoke will all believe Darnold's the guy if Allen goes No. 1. What if Darnold is the choice to Cleveland? Does New York then go with Bradley Chubb or Quenton Nelson? Do they select Josh Rosen or, dare I say, Baker Mayfield?

For now, all we know is the organization loves Sam Darnold. Whether or not he becomes a New York Giants employee remains to be seen.

The NFL Draft comes your way on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
