Through the first several months of the offseason, there has yet to be any significant movement toward a new extension for New York Giants Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. This has centered chatter on his availability in the team's workouts that he has yet to skip out on up to this point.

Beckham Jr. put an end to all the speculation by stating that he will be training camp next month, according to New York Post.

Asked if he will hold out from camp, the 25-year-old replied, “No, no holdout.”

Asked if he would be seen at camp, Beckham said: “Yes sir, yes you will (see him there).”

These comments erase any doubt that Beckham Jr. will hold out in hopes of speeding up the conversation around a new contract. He has made it clear that he desires an extension to remain with the Giants for the long haul, but that hasn't exactly translated to both sides progressing toward that resolution.

Instead, there has been little to no movement on the front in the last couple of months that have let this conversation linger on to a greater degree the longer he is without a new contract. It has also given way to talk that Beckham Jr. will at some point sit out in the offseason, but that notion hasn't gained momentum.

Since being medically cleared for his surgically-repaired left ankle, he has been a full participant in the workouts that is expected to ramp up in training camp next month.

The motivation to get his body right physically before the start of the season is likely the main factor in him partaking in team activities as he likely wants to first show that he's past the injury and that he can get back to performing at an elite level.
