The New York Giants surprised everyone with their selection of Joe Judge to become the head coach. Being a virtual unknown to the world, Giants fans were incensed with the decision and blamed David Gettelman for making another erratic decision.

However, Jay Glazer of The Athletic called for cooler heads and explained why the team should give him a chance. To be excited at the prospect of having Judge as the new man who will take the Giants to new heights.

When it was announced, every Giants fan I knew called me going crazy. “What have they done?!!?!” “They kept Gettleman, that’s why they couldn’t get anyone!!!” But I’ll tell you what, Giants fans: every single person in the NFL says this dude is a stud.

It may be surprising to some that Glazer would brand him as a stud without any prior head coaching experience. However, he has an advantage that makes him an exciting head coach for the Giants.

He started his coaching career working under legendary coaches like Bill Belichick and Nick Saban. He picked up pointers on how to become a great coach from these two greats, and the Giants saw enough during their interviews with him that they decided to give him the keys to the kingdom that is the New York Giants.

He will have a lot of things to sort out as the Giants head coach. He will have to be offense-focused as two of his biggest stars–Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley–line up on offense. Moreover, he has to make New York football entertaining to watch again.

Giants fans will likely be on his ear until he proves that the trust the team placed on him is warranted. This is a challenge that Judge would have to face in his debut campaign.
