The discussions surrounding concussions in the NFL has heated in recent years. However, New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard is ‘not worried' about the long-term effects of the concussions that he has sustained from playing football.
During a recent interview, Shepard mentioned that football is ‘what I love to do' and how he takes care of his family, which includes two children. He noted that while he thinks about the effects of concussions sometimes, but he will have to ‘make that decision later.'
Shepard has been in the NFL's concussion protocol on two separate occasions this month alone and hasn't played since the Giants' 28-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Shepard has ‘no doubt' that he will play again this season despite that fact.
While Shepard claims to be symptom-free for two weeks, the Giants are being cautious with their approach to his return to game action. There hasn't been a definitive timetable for his return and that is understandable given the circumstances.
