Eli Manning is that old steady veteran who simply goes about his business. He rarely says anything outlandish. Rather, working hard is his route to professionalism in the NFL.

That doesn't mean he lacks confidence.

The New York Giants two-time Super Bowl champ firmly believes he and his team can “still win championships,” via Rhett Lewis of the NFL Network.

“Obviously it has been an unbelievable run but I want to continue doing it. It’s not over. I know that. ..I’m excited for this upcoming yr & really prove that I can still play at a high level. We can win games. We can win championships.”

Manning, 37, is currently on the heels of one of his worst professional campaigns. Throwing for just 3,468 yards and 19 touchdowns to 13 interceptions, he quarterbacked a pitiful 3-13 squad under then-head coach Ben McAdoo.

With new head man Pat Shurmur in tow, Manning is in the midst of learning a new offense with an extremely special piece added behind him in Saquon Barkley. Manning can already picture what the offense will look like come August and September.

“He tries to keep the game simple, which I enjoy. He’s not trying to make it overcomplicated & it’s been great in practices & watching film with him after. We have a great relationship & are on the same page.”

Twice, the youngest Manning boy has climbed that NFL mountaintop. With what was a superb defense two years ago and an offensive line that was appropriately taken care of this past season, there's no reason to think Super Bowl No. 3 can't be had.
