Kayvon Thibodeaux's professional football dream has officially come true, as the New York Giants has selected him with the 5 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Thibodeaux has been regarded as one of the best pass-rushing prospects in the draft for some time, so it's not surprising to see him off the board at pick no. y.

One of the highest-rated recruits to ever walk through the door at Oregon, Thibodeaux quickly showed why making all-conference as a freshman and then following it up with a second-team All-American performance in his sophomore season.

While he was slowed a bit by a sprained left ankle early in the 2021 season, the Oregon product didn't let that stop him, as he tallied 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks while compiling a 91.5 pass-rushing grade via Pro Football Focus.

Thibodeaux isn't the biggest defensive end, though it's his strength, speed, and first step that will make him a nightmare matchup for an offensive lineman in the NFL.

While some teams might desire a bigger frame than Thibodeaux's 6-foot-4 inch, 255-pound body, they'd be hard-pressed to find a better draft prospect to combat the pass-heavy NFL than the Oregon product, outside of Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson.

Thibodeaux is sure to leave his mark on the NFL with x team.
