After the New York Giants decided to bench Eli Manning in favor of Daniel Jones, the rookie's debut has not disappointed. Ask Sterling Shepard.

Jones was able to make a beautiful throw wide receiver Sterling Shepard despite an illegal hands to the face penalty against the Buccaneers, making it his second touchdown pass of the game, after Evan Engram's 75 yard catch and run. The throws that Jones has made have been accurate and on time, highlighting Pat Shurmur's decision to start him.

If Jones is able to continue his impressive play he will earn the nickname Danny Dimes and be received as the savior of New York, a label once tagged to Manning. With Saquon Barkley going down with an ankle injury, Jones will have to continue with his impressive play if the Giants want to compete after losing the teams top weapon for an unknown amount of time.
