Sacramento Kings forward Zach Randolph received a video tribute from the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night. His former teammate, Marc Gasol, says he got goosebumps while watching the dedication.

The video featured several of Randolph's memorable plays as a member of the Grizzlies, as well as a few touching moments off the court. Despite the fact that he's playing for a new team, the former Michigan State Spartan received a standing ovation when his name was announced with Sacramento's starting lineups.

“I love this city,” Randolph once said of Memphis. “And they love me back. It's a blue collar town. I'm a blue collar player, a hard worker. It's the same way with the town. Nothing has been given easy to me, and nothing has been given easy to this town. It's a fit.”

Gasol, a long-time teammate of Randolph's, admitted that he was a bit emotional as the video played.

“Yes. Yes, I did (get emotional),” Gasol said after seeing Randolph's tribute video. “And I remember every single play. I got goosebumps when I saw it. He's a special guy. He's such a joyful, caring, giving guy.

“I mean, he was the life of the party at my wedding,” Gasol continued. “He was the guy playing French Montana at my wedding, so just imagine. He's the best.”

Randolph played eight seasons with the Grizzlies. Those were some of the best years of his career, to be sure. Now, however, he's roaming the paint for Sacramento. In his 40 appearances with the Kings this season, “Z-Bo,” as he's known, has turned in averages of 14.5 points on 48.6 percent shooting from the field, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
