Several teams around the NBA landscape are staying active in the offseason, including the Memphis Grizzlies, who have extended a qualifying offer to Delon Wright, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Wright, now 27 years of age, signed a four-year, $7.2 million contract with the Raptors in 2015. Toronto selected the former University of Utah product with their 20th overall pick. However, Wright, C. J. Miles, Jonas Valančiūnas and a 2024 second-round draft pick were traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Marc Gasol at this year's trade deadline.

Wright turned in the best statistical figures of his career with the Grizzlies. He made 26 appearances with the team (11 starts), racking up averages of 12.2 points on 43.4 percent shooting from the field (25.6 percent from beyond the arc), 5.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.6 steals in 30.8 minutes per outing.

With the Grizzlies offering Wright a qualifying offer, he will now be a restricted free agent. Interested teams will be able to make an offer for his services, but the Grizzlies will have the opportunity to match.

It seems more likely than not that Wright will remain with the Grizzlies in the coming season. Memphis will likely decline their team-option on Avery Bradley, which means Wright could see a starting role at the shooting guard position.
