Cleveland Guardians superstar Jose Ramirez shocked MLB when he expressed a desire to stay in Cleveland. Trade rumors swirled around him but the third baseman did not budge. The Guardians, who are infamous for trading stars away prior to hitting free agency, shocked their fan base by inking Ramirez to a 5-year, $124 million dollar extension.

And it is clear that “J-Ram” is comfortable in Cleveland with the Guardians.

The Guardians have played just 44 games this season and Ramirez already has 10 games of 3-RBIs or more. He is the fastest player to post 10 3-RBI games since Jimmie Foxx accomplished the feat in 39 games 82 years ago in 1940.

You are certainly doing something right anytime you are mentioned in the same sentence as MLB Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx.

Jose Ramirez has established a reputation as one of the most clutch hitters in the sport. He leads all of MLB in RBIs with 51. Ramirez is slashing .297/.391/.648 with a 1.039 OPS and 13 home runs as of this story's publication. There is no question that he is making a strong case for AL MVP this year.

The Guardians have underwhelmed for the most part overall as a team. However, the elite performance from Ramirez has kept the team hovering around the .500 mark. Cleveland would likely be well under .500 if Ramirez was not in the fold.

He undeniably deserves more attention. Playing in a small market like Cleveland doesn't always bring the headlines, but the MLB world is beginning to take notice of Jose Ramirez's first class talent.
