After years of rumors and much waiting, fans can look forward to the live-action Halo TV series finally coming soon. At The Game Awards 2021, the official trailer has now premiered, giving us a minute-long first look into what to expect for the show. Here's what we know so far about the Halo series' release date, cast, plot and other details.

Halo TV series Release Date: Early 2022

No exact release date has been specified yet for the live-action Halo show, but fans can get excited with the newly dropped trailer. For now, the timeline we are looking at is early 2022 to get to see Master Chief come to life on the small screen. The Halo series, which is based on the popular video game franchise, will exclusively be streaming on Paramount+.

From the trailer, we already got a first look on what Master Chief looks like, played by Pablo Schreiber. As seen in the trailer, the Spartan sports the green armor and golden visor that fans have grown accustomed to. Joining him, Natascha McElhone takes on the role of Dr. Catherine Halsey, while Jen Taylor plays Cortana and Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes.

In this military science fiction story, fans will witness a thrilling galaxy-saving mission as the human race fights against aliens called the Covenant. This is the same Covenant that players had to take down in the various video game titles, including the latest entry Halo Infinite. Fans will also get to immerse in the amazing looking graphics for the battleships, the massive human cities, and all the space-themed elements—it is a Steven Spielberg production, after all.
