Atlanta Hawks rookie Cam Reddish has struggled with accuracy in his first season of NBA service. It's a bit of an issue, but he admits that it's all in his head.

In his 34 appearances with the Hawks, Reddish has racked up averages of 8.0 points on just 31.7 percent shooting from the field (25.8 percent from beyond the arc), 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists. These are not numbers indicative of a No. 10 overall pick, but the former Duke standout is hoping to improve on these marks as he finds his way through his rookie season.

The month of January has been tough for Reddish thus far, as he's gone 6-of-22 from the field (27.3%) and 3-of-13 from the three-point line (23.1%). He did score 25 against the Brooklyn Nets, but that was a month ago.

Via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

“It’s all in my head,” said Reddish, sounding a little like a golfer with the yips. For now, the only course of treatment is to keep shooting.

“I’ve always been able to shoot since I can remember,” Reddish added. “It’s never been a problem for me. I’m just trying to get it together. I’ll be fine.

“I know I can do it. It’s a matter of doing it now.”

Though he's struggled with accuracy, Reddish has improved defensively — a fact that Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce touched on:

“I think Cam has been growing as a defender,” the Hawks coach said, via AJC. “He’s gotten better being physical, getting into bodies, getting over screens, in the passing lane making plays.”

Reddish and the Hawks will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll face off against the Washington Wizards. Tip-off inside Capital One Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
