Atlanta Hawks rookie point guard Trae Young is the first rookie in NBA history to record at least 150 points and 50 assists over a five-game span since the legendary Oscar Robertson did it back in 1961 with the Cincinnati Royals.

Over his last five games, Young is averaging 34.8 points and 10.4 assists. The 20-year-old has been putting on a show in Atlanta and is proving all the critics who said he was going to be a bust in the league wrong.

Young has scored 30, 23, 36, 36 and 49 points in his last five games, while dishing out 10, eight, eight, 10 and 16 assists. Usually, rookies come into the league and have a tunnel vision, meaning they are just trying to score on every possession.

However, Trae Young has shown all season he's an exceptional passer. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Hawks' floor general is averaging a double-double for an entire season in the near future.

In a rebuild season, Atlanta has to be thrilled with how Young has developed. The fifth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft is putting up 18.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists on the season in 63 games while shooting 41.3 percent from the field, 33.4 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.
