Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young has been listed as questionable for Game 6 of their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Milwaukee Bucks, but there is hope he could return for the contest.

Head coach Nate McMillan pointed out that Young missed the past two contests in the series because of some pain that had not been comfortable for him–something that would have bothered him had he forced to play. Nonetheless, the Hawks tactician emphasized that the bone bruise in his right foot is not a long-term issue as he hinted the sharpshooter is progressing well in his recovery.

“It’s not anything that is long term. He has had pain that is not comfortable enough for him to get out there and feel like he can help the team,” McMillan said, per Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

McMillan's comments came after Brian Windhorst of ESPN shared that his sources have told him Trae Young will try to play in Game 6, which  is a must-win for the team after they failed to take advantage of Giannis Antetokounmpo's absence and lost Game 5 against the Bucks.

“There is hope that, because he is improving from what I'm told, that [Trae Young] will be able to make it a go in Game 6,” Windorst said on ESPN's Get Up.

The Hawks need every help they can get if they want to force a Game 7, and the possible return of Young is certainly a massive boost. However, Atlanta will still be cautious and is expected not to push their superstar if it has high risk of reaggravating his injury.

After all, they can't afford to lose Young to another significant injury, especially if they are able to win and push the series to the distance.

Hopefully, though, Young returns 100 percent and give the Hawks some much-needed confidence.
