The Atlanta Hawks suffered another defeat on Thursday. This time around, they fell to a Donovan Mitchell-less Utah Jazz, 116-98. After the game, Hawks star Trae Young revealed that one of the reasons behind Atlanta's slow start to the regular season is because it's boring.

According to Young, the Hawks are struggling to remain motivated through the grind of the regular season:

“I think guys are learning that. We're no longer the hunters,” Young said, via Chris Kirshner of The Athletic. “It's regular season. I'm not going to lie, it's a lot more boring than the playoffs. You got to find that motivation to play like the playoffs.”

The Hawks went all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season where they put up quite a fight before being eliminated by the eventual champions, the Milwaukee Bucks. As it turns out, now that the team has had a taste of the postseason, motivation has become a bit of an issue.

Atlanta has lost back-to-back games now and four out of their last five. Trae Young himself hasn't exactly been lighting it up for the Hawks so perhaps he too is in need of some inspiration.

Be that as it may, Young came out with a promise to Hawks fans that might be feeling a bit worried right now:

The Hawks return to action on Saturday in a tough test against the defending Western Conference champs in the Phoenix Suns.
