The Miami Heat have appeared in five NBA Finals while winning three championships along the way. Thanks to players like legendary shooting guard Dwyane Wade, current Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James and Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal, among others, the Heat has become one of the best NBA franchises that the league has to offer today.

However, not everyone agrees when it comes to which Heat championship team was the best of the five. With Miami winning its first title back in 2005-06 before making four consecutive NBA Finals appearances between 2010-11 and 2013-14, the aforementioned Wade and O'Neal recently had a bit of a spat with the former tabbing the 2012-13 squad as the best in franchise history and the former going with 2005-06.

Of course, Wade was part of all five of these teams with O'Neal notably winning a title as a member of the Heat in 2005-06.

Although Wade and “Shaq” formed quite the memorable duo, that 2005-06 championship came as a bit of a surprise as it was Miami's first title appearance and win. With Wade not yet in his prime so it seemed and O'Neal nearing the end of his NBA tenure, the 2012-13 team did certainly have a bit more talent on paper with “King James” and Chris Bosh leading the way alongside “D-Wade.” However, it is also hard to argue against the team's first-ever title run as it put Wade and the Heat on the map, which eventually led to the infamous arrival of both James and Bosh.
