Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is as slick as they come on the basketball court. Judging by his most recent banter with ESPN's Rachel Nichols,  it looks like he is the same way when it comes to dodging questions. Butler sent social media into a frenzy recently after he liked an Instagram post claiming that Houston Rockets superstar James Harden has added the South Beach franchise to his list of preferred trade destinations.

The 31-year-old two-way star appeared on an episode of The Jump on Friday and was quickly asked about this intriguing matter. Butler admitted to liking the post but denied it has anything to do with recruiting The Beard to South Beach. In true Jimmy Buckets fashion, he said he simply liked Harden's new look for the 2019-20 campaign.

Here's his hilarious take beginning at the 3:29 mark of the clip:

“I liked his hairstyle. The dreads, the braids, the beard that's well-nourished. I liked the post,” the Heat star said.

C'mon, Jimmy. Everyone knows why you really liked that post.

Jimmy Butler and the rest of the Heat, of course, surprised everyone in 2019-20 when they made it all the way to the 2020 NBA Finals against eventual champions Los Angeles Lakers. While Miami will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come, it's evident that they do need to add some more pieces to truly get over that hump. For sure, Butler understands this and would love the idea of welcoming a former MVP like Harden to their core group in Miami.

But kidding aside, Butler also sent his well wishes for Harden during his ongoing saga with the Houston Rockets.

“There's a lot of stuff always in the media. I think he's a hell of a player and I like the group that we have. To tell you the truth, I just want the guy to be happy. That's what life is about. That's what the game is about,” the Heat forward added.

The Heat, meanwhile, are no strangers to being linked to blockbuster trades, considering two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is also reportedly on their radar.
